EUSD hosts EdCamp San Diego

120 educators from all over Southern California attended EdCampSD, a FREE unconference event, sponsored by the Escondido Union School District.  In an unconference, sessions are made the day of the event, based on attendee input.  Anybody can lead a session or gather a group of people together to have a discussion about a certain topic.  Sessions are informal and are not traditional conference style presentations.  EdCamps allow the participant voice to be heard, over anybody else's.  Sessions included gamification, magic, and twitter.  Two EUSD teachers helped planned the event, Jo-Ann Fox and Krystle Miller.  Other generous sponsors include the Escondido Elementary Educators Association and the San Diego County Office of Education.  Read the Union Tribune article about EdCampSD here.
