Information Regarding Report Card Issues and Extended Deadline

Technology Services has received numerous reports of teachers having problems with accessing the grade book or with saving information.  We have determined that the fix requires a new Java update.  Therefore, the deadline for entering report card information and subsequently sending them home has been extended one week.  Grades are due next Friday, March 7.  Report cards will be sent home on Friday, March 14.  We had said earlier the deadline would be next Wednesday, but we feel teachers may need to have the entire week.
  • If teachers have verified that they can log into the grade book and grades and comments are saving, then they do not need to notify the Help Desk and can proceed with finishing report cards.
  • If teachers are having difficulty accessing the grade book or have experienced grades/comments not saving, they need to call or email the Helpdesk with the asset tag ID of the machine that needs updating.  These fixes will be top priority for our technicians to ensure teachers can complete report cards
  • A couple of further points specifically for Middle School:  While the entering/verifying/storing grades has been moved forward one week, we can still store for your school earlier if the whole school is ready. Regardless, we will wait to hear from each school's PowerSchool clerk before storing.  Teachers can add assignments for T3 at anytime so long as they specify (when they create the assignment) a due date of March 3 or later. Those assignments should then appear in the T3 Assignments list and on the T3 Scoresheet. They should not appear on the T2 Scoresheet.
