Blogging can be a powerful literacy force in your classroom, and an easy way to target Common Core standards and
21st Century skills.  Blogging doesn't have to be scary or out of reach for your or your students.  There are all types of quality blogs and microblogs that students at any grade level can do.  If your students hate writing, then try blogging.  Blogging will not only help students develop their writing and language skills, but students will also be practicing communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking in a real way.  Your students have a voice, let them be heard!

Check out this bundle for the connection to the Common Core, resources for getting started, and blog samples.  You can also find it posted in the EUSD Resources My Big Campus group, under Professional Development - My Big Campus, then "Blog."
