It's time for the 2016 Escondido Youth Media Festival (EYMF)! In its seventh year, EYMF is a celebration of the creativity and 21st Century skills of elementary and middle school students from the Escondido Union School District (EUSD).

Produced by the Escondido Union School District, the Festival promotes students' work in their home community and on a global platform. Put simply, there is a lot of good news to share, and we want you to see it firsthand!

Why is the Festival important? EUSD already has exciting preliminary data indicating that students' Information, Communications, and Technology Literacy has a dramatic effect on their academic achievement. By creating Video, Photography, and Audio Storytelling, EUSD students develop skills and master educational content in ways that far exceed expectations.

Interested in submitting or attending the event? See below for details or check out our website.

Submissions - March 14-April 15, 2016Submissions this year are all done digitally. This requires that the Teacher of Parent/Guardian submitting the project for the student(s) should upload the digital file (video, photo, or audio) to an adult-controlled Google Drive and have the permissions changed to "Anyone with the Link". Watch how easy that is here. Be sure the file has been created using the EYMF File Preparation Guidelines.
